What does it cost?
€10 per track, once. No subscription, nothing to renew. And we take no cut of your streams: you keep 85% of your earnings. The remaining 15% is the distribution platform's commission, not our margin.
Is this legal?
Yes. Covering a song and releasing it on streaming is perfectly legal as long as the cover respects the original work: same melody, same lyrics, your interpretation. You can change the key, the tempo, the instruments, the style. We handle the licence, you fill in nothing.
What if I changed the lyrics?
That changes everything: rewritten or translated lyrics, an altered melody or a parody are no longer a simple cover. They need the rightsholder's explicit permission, case by case. Tell us when you upload and we'll be straight with you about whether it's doable.
Who releases my cover?
Covr, through Soundrop, our distribution platform. You'll get an email from them to create your account and add your payment details: they pay your share directly, without going through us.
Where does it get released?
Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Amazon Music, Tidal, YouTube Music, and most streaming and short-video platforms.
Do I keep the rights to my recording?
Yes. Your recording stays 100% yours. We distribute it, we don't buy your master and we don't lock you into a long contract.
